Subsea Pig Signaller
This State of the Art pig signaller is specifically designed to meet the needs of the pipeline pigging industry.
It is robust and totally sealed to give reliable service in the harshest of oilfield environments.
The signaller is non invasive and will detect the passage of any steel shafted pig without having to fit magnets to it. Non metallic pigs and spheres can also be detected by the addition of a small rare earth magnet the size of a quarter dollar.
Description
The system consists of a pressure competent aluminium pressure housing rated to 1500 msw containing the Pig Spy sensing electronics plus a bank of rechargeable batteries.
The unit is fitted with a high intensity Xenon Strobe to indicate pig passage to a monitoring RoV. The unit can be tested on deck prior to deployment by diver or RoV.
